The Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award (GDBEA) has announced the slate of judges for the 2017 award program. Judges for the esteemed awards program are selected based on their demonstration and commitment to ethical practices, and include accomplished professionals from the business, academic, public service, and consulting communities, as well as former recipients of the award.

The 2017 judging panel includes: JoAnn Brumit, former CEO – Karlee Company, former GDBEA recipient and recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in manufacturing; Dr. Martinella Dryburgh, Director – Posey Leadership Institute and Assistant Professor of Leadership at Austin College. Dr. Dryburgh also supervises the student evaluators for the GDBEA program; Dr. Kevin Fegan, President – Northwood University; Randy Gordon, Partner – Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP and Executive Professor at Texas A&M University School of Law; Ann Kahn, President – Kahn Mechanical Contractors, a former GDBEA recipient; Dr. Carrie La Ferle, Director of Graduate Studies/Altshuler Distinguished Teaching Professor – SMU Temerlin Advertising Institute; Dr. Richard Peregoy, Associate Professor – University of Dallas College of Business; Kelvin Sellers, Deputy General Counsel – Interstate Batteries, a former GDBEA recipient. Austin College student evaluators visit the workplace of each nominated company and review the award submission with company officials, note their observations of company employees “in action,” and provide written reports for the judges panel. Details about the student evaluators may be be viewed here.

This distinguished panel will review 2017 entries in early April and the honorees will be announced Monday, April 10, 2017.
