Finalists Announced for 2013 Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award

The Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award program is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2013 award.  “Each of these companies has demonstrated a clear commitment to be ethical and transparent in all aspects of their operations and all are to be commedned for their efforts.  The judges will find it difficult to select the winner(s),” says Michael Webb, chair of the program.

Corporate and Academic Judging Panel Set for 2013 Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award

The Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award is proud to announce the 2013 panel of judges.  Nine distinguished leaders in the greater Dallas business and academic community are charged with the difficult task of selecting the 2013 Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award winners.

The 2013 panel of judges include:

* Past Winner, Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award
** Past Winner, American Business Ethics Award

In addition, a team of 10 students from the Austin College Leadership Institute, led by senior Athena Padgett, are participating in the judging process as student evaluators.  The student’s role is to visit the workplace of each nominated company and review the award submission with company officials as well as note their observations of company employees “in action.”  The student evaluators will provide a written report to the judges in advance of the April judging meeting.  They will also join the judges at this meeting to answer any questions the judges may have of their site visits and subsequent reports. In the past, these student evaluations have proven invaluable to the judges in terms of helping to humanize the written submission of each nominated company.

Posey Leadership Institute Scholars Provide Evaluations for GDBEA Judges

Brinker International Honored with 2012 GDBEA Recognition

Brinker International was selected as the sole honoree at the Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award luncheon, held today at the Westin Galleria.

In her acceptance speech, Valerie L. Davisson, Brinker’s Executive Vice President and Chief PeopleWorks Officer, recognized the more than 4,500 Dallas-area company representatives and 100,000 team members in 32 countries who contributed to this award.
